Air Quality Index Categories and Examples
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is divided into six categories, each represented by a specific color and health advisory. The number displayed is based on the maximum of the tracked pollutants, which include ozone, fine particulate matter, small particulate matter, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide.
