Unicode exists to facilitate typing a large number of characters above and beyond the classic letters, numbers, and punctuation. Using Unicode, one can show characters from Greek, Cyrrilic, and middle-Eastern languages - or one can show a variety of:

Arrows, for example: ➺, ➪, ➤, or ➸
Bullets, for example: ◉, ●, ☉, or ⛯
Ballot-boxes, for example: □, ▢, or ▱

With over 40,00 defined characters and counting, there’s a lot to see. Very few of the characters above 12,000 are likely to fit your needs 😎. (However, you may view them by checking “Include ideographs.”) To view a set, select a "Range" value, then a "Subrange" value to see a printable set of the available characters. The easiest way to grab a single character is to copy-and-paste it. Links are also shown to:

  • Information groups pages of interest primarily within the Naples area, including:
