Tracking Changes to the Trinidays User Interface

Sometimes the user interface has a change ‑ something got added, something got moved ‑ and you just didn’t know about it. This page has been created to summarize significant user interface changes starting with late March of 2025.

• 22 August 2026
  • The NASA Image of the day was consuming too much space with little added value, since the displaying page could already take you to the original image. The local display has been removed, leaving the other functions for locating and displaying NASA Images. .

• 18 August 2026
  • Microsoft MS365 tools remain extremely useful, with web versions taking over for local versions. Shortcuts to simplify and streamline your work are available if you know where to look - some of the best have been gathered together, accessed from a home page button.
• 29 July 2026
  • A newsletter from County Commisioner Bert Saunders had reference material which was added to the index page as Helpful County Info.
  • A warning has been added about attempting to donate used items to St. Matthew's House.
  • For the curious, a link has been added to a map of nearby automated license plate readers.
  • This page is now accessed directly from the primary site page.
• 05 June 2026
  • The National Hurricane Center radically changed their hurricane reporting data system. As a result, the information shown on the site is being adjusted “on the fly” as actual storms occur in the Atlantic basin.
• 03 April 2026
  • Added a link to Consolidated Rules and Regulations under IslandWalk ➢ HOA Newsletters adopted as of 25 March 2026.
• 03 February 2026
  • Added a link to MSN - Town Center under Information ➢ Weather which is highly localized to the IslandWalk Town Center, in addition to providing such features as high and low temperatures over the past year.

• 23 January 2026
  • The Air Quality Index is now displayed on the home page within the weather block. The displayed value can be clicked to show detailed information. (Green is good.)
• 09 January 2026
  • “Have you seen these?” has added some information about Air Quality Index and how to interpret it, along with further reading for the detail-oriented.
  • Added a link to Mental Floss under More Sites ➢ Miscellaneous for those with too much time on their hands.
• 17-19 June 2025: Trinidad Way Menu
  • More storm-related links are now collected with “Hurricane Prep” and “FEMA Flood Map”, all accessed from “Storm Planning”.
  • Photos from various activities have moved to the Activities and Photos page.
• 28 April 2025
  • The button to scroll to the top of the page has been joined by a button to scroll to the bottom of the page, and both are now found in the logo area.
• 20 April 2025
  • Certain website functions, such as a personal set of countdown timers, can be accessed by entering your access code and clicking “Check”. If your code is correct, your personalized list will be displayed along with a “Launch” button. Talk to Ken if you’re interested.

  • Modified the Home page layout in anticipation of hurricane season
  • The humorous(?) saying at the top and the animal picture will change every 60 seconds or so
